We have a fantastic opportunity at Zest Podiatry for a new graduate podiatrist to join our busy team of clinicians.
Salary & benefits
- Salary: £31000 starting, £32500 after probation. Employed position
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with 1 evening per week and one Saturday morning per month
- Holiday allowance: 21 days + bank holidays, with incremental increases

Job Purpose
The Podiatrist is responsible for providing expert foot and ankle care (including screening) in a clinical setting.
They will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care while continuing to develop clinical skills and professional knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical care
- Diagnose clinical lower limb conditions using a range of assessment tools and techniques – nail disorders, skin conditions, MSK conditions/injuries
- Develop both short and long term treatment plans for all patients including patient education and preventative advice
- Deliver expert footcare treatments including:
- Nail cutting and reduction, nail resection, nailcare advice, nail fenestration
- Corn enucleation, callus debridement, wound care, blister management
- Pressure off-loading – otoform moulding, padding, taping, simple insoles, footwear advice/sizing
- Deliver footcare screening including:
- Foot checks – New patients, membership, Annual foot checks
- Fungal nail (+skin) tests (in-house and lab based)
- Lesion imaging
- Footscan pressure mat analysis
- Deliver specialist skin and nail treatments:
- Verruca/wart treatments including acid therapy, cryotherapy, SWIFT microwave therapy
- Fungal skin/nail treatments – fenestration, testing, topical product advice
- Lesion management – cryotherapy, SWIFT microwave
2. Quality and safety
- Patient safety
- Deliver care in a safe manner and uphold professional standards

- Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with clinical and legal standards
3. Team working
- Work collaboratively with Zest Team and other healthcare professionals (e.g. GPs, physiotherapists, nurses)
4. Professional development
- Participate in continuing professional development (CPD) and training programmes
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- BSc Podiatry
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Eligibility to work in a clinical setting
Desirable
- Previous clinical placement experience (typically gained during degree)
