What to expect from Zest Podiatry
When you book with us, we will try and ascertain what podiatry appointment you need – either a general podiatry appointment, or a specialist appointment for a known query ie.. verruca, sports injury, diabetic check.
During your appointment we will take some information from you in order to help understand why a particular problem has happened or just to ascertain your general level of health or fitness. It may be useful to bring key information with you including your current list of prescribed medications, dates of any operations or medical procedures, latest test results.
We will check your feet, and if appropriate your lower limb, at this first appointment and this will help form a treatment plan that we agree with you. Assessments may include a vascular test using a doppler to check pulses in the feet, sensory and motor responses in the feet to assess neurological function, skin assessment using a dermatoscope to check for infections or unusual skin lesions and if necessary a full biomechanical assessment will be done including gait analysis.
For all new appointments, we take a deposit at the time of booking (50%) with the remainder to be paid when you come in for your appointment. We will also take a contact telephone number and your email address in order to send you our Zest Welcome Pack. Please click here to download a copy of our Welcome Pack.
