Unsure if an initial MSK assessment is right for you?
A painful foot, ankle or leg can be very debilitating, and can become a chronic issue. We can discuss your recent injury/new or old pain/immobility issue and give more details on how a face to face MSK assessment would assist you. They will also advice of alternate treatment should the face to face not be appropriate.
During this online consultation, the clinician can give you more details on the face to face MSK assessment and what to expect:
- Assessment of joint range of motion, muscle strength, hip and knee movements and alignment, gait analysis, assessment of patients footwear and current orthoptics.
- Treatment Plan which may include: rehab exercise programmes, orthotics (off the shelf and custom made), shockwave therapy, strapping, footwear advice, footwear sizing, steroid injection therapy, appropriate referrals.
Any information gathered from the online consultation with be used to build into your face to face (initial) assessment. If you go ahead with an initial assessment we would reduce the cost of the MSK initial by the same amount as the online consultation.

What is an MSK Podiatrist?
This is sometimes referred to as a Biomechanical Podiatrist and the two terms are often used interchangeably, so what is biomechanics? Biomechanics in its broadest sense is the application of mechanical principles to biological systems. Within the foot and lower leg the application of mechanical principles is vital in addressing pain within the musculoskeletal system. Interested in becoming a podiatrist.
