The position is based at Zest Podiatry clinic, Oxford (with some home visits)

Job Description

We are looking for a highly professional, enthusiastic and motivated podiatrist to join our team. Currently we have a team of 4 podiatrists and one physiotherapist. Our healthcare business that has grown rapidly and we require the right individual to join our clinical team.


We are a busy healthcare clinic in Oxford, offering treatments to patients with foot and ankle injuries and conditions. We also have a physiotherapist who treats injuries and pain from head to toe.

We have 4 clinic rooms and a specialist facility analysing walk and running gait in 3D. As such we have high tech assessment and treatment that our fabulous team of clinicians use to help our patients move better and ease pain.

We treat a range of patients including children and the elderly so the patient experience has to be appropriate and adaptable to meet the differing needs of our patients.

  • To diagnose and treat patients with lower limb pathologies including dermatological, vascular, neurological and musculoskeletal systems
  • To work independently and to manage a full clinical list, in a timely manner
  • To deliver treatment plans that best meets the need of the individual patient and supports the Zest brand
    • Delivers each treatment consistent with Zest treatment procedures and conforms to both the RCoP and HCPC Clinical Standards
  • Assess and refer MSK opportunities to MSK Podiatrists and MSK Physio
  • Deliver specialist podiatry treatments –
    • SWIFT microwave therapy
    • Cryotherapy
    • Nail Surgery
    • Needling for verrucae
    • MSK taping and strapping
    • Extracorporeal Shockwave therapy
  • To deliver the Zest Patient Satisfaction targets (patient return rate, satisfaction with appointment, advocacy)
  • Work closely with the other clinicians within the Zest Podiatrist and Physio team to  develop referral pathways and deliver integrated plans where necessary
  • Work closely with the other clinicians within the Zest Podiatrist and Physio team to  develop  new treatment packages including:
    • Prehab and rehab for Foot, Ankle, Knee and Hip operations
    • Rheumatology care package
    • Diabetic care package 
    • Strength + Conditioning package
  • Write and review patient treatments (and interactions) on Cliniko eNotes system
  • Support the Zest team at outdoor events -i.e. Abingdon Marathon, Blenheim Triathlon, Oxford Half Marathon
  • Support Zest with social media content (videos, articles, 3rd party collaboration)
  • To deliver podiatry appointments to patients at home/social care setting each  month

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree (Podiatry BSc)


  • Minimum 2 year post graduate experience
  • The ability to work independently and as a team member

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great IT skills

  • Complete Core Training modules annually, as indicated
  • Assimilate and adhere to the Royal College of Podiatry Clinical Standards
  • Assimilate and adhere to the HCPC Clinical Guidelines
  • Deliver the Zest General and New Patient Podiatry treatments 
  • Independently manage appointments diary to time
  • Independently manage a full clinic appointment diary, to time
  • Ensure patient notes are captured accurately and timely on Cliniko Notes system
  • To recommend products as appropriate to patient as part of their treatment
  • To ensure that patient return ratio is maintained
  • To meet patient satisfaction targets including advocacy
  • To deliver appropriate patients referrals within (and outside) Zest – Rehab, Exercise classes, Soft Tissue Massage, MSK Podiatry, Podiatric Surgeon, GP, Physio, Osteopaths, Orthotist
  • Deliver CPD/learning to other clinicians within Zest Podiatry, as part of an ongoing learning environment
  • Deliver clinical articles periodically, as requested – as part of an ongoing learning environment

Salary & Benefits

Salary range £30,500 – £34,500 per annum (based on experience)
