The Zest Advantage: Complete Lower Limb Continuity
At most practices, if a physiotherapist realizes your knee pain is caused by poor foot alignment, they have to refer you out to an external podiatrist, causing weeks of delays.
Because Zest houses both specialisms under one roof, our practitioners cross-consult daily. If your condition requires both gait correction (orthotics) and muscle rehabilitation, your care is managed collaboratively by a cohesive team without you ever needing to visit another clinic.
If you are unsure which clinician you should see:
- We recommend that you focus on the area that is causing you most pain and book accordingly.
- Podiatrists can see you for skin, nail problems such as callus, corns infections, and ingrowing toenails. They can also help with lumps and bumps, such as verrucae.
- Podiatrists can also see you for joint and muscle pain, known as musculoskeletal, and at Zest we have a dedicated team of MSK Podiatrists that do this. They focus on the areas of the foot and ankle.
- If you have joint or muscle pain above the ankle (such as knees and hips) then we would recommend you see our physiotherapist.
- Still unsure? Then contact reception who can help you.
- Unsure if MSK is podiatry or physiotherapy – book a 15min consultation to discuss if clinican or treatment is appropriate.
