In pain when I exercise, which clinician should I see?
I am unsure which clinician I should see for my pain, an MSK podiatrist or a physiotherapist.

How do you manage appointments at Zest?
At Zest Podiatry & Physio we have podiatrists and a physio that can treat you. Our podiatrists focus on the lower limb (knee down) and our physio focuses on the knees and hips. We are aware that the leg does not work separately and therefore nor do we. We offer shared care and work together as appropriate to best help you. All of our clinicians are HCPC registered.
I have pain in several areas so therefore which clinician do I choose ?
We recommend that you focus on the area that is causing you most pain and book accordingly
What is an MSK podiatrist?
MSK (musculoskeletal) refers to soft tissue such as muscles, tendons and ligaments, and also bones and joints. An MSK podiatrist diagnoses and treats injuries and conditions of these structures. They will also assess gait (how you walk & run). More info here.
I have corns and callus, do I need to see an MSK podiatrist?
All podiatrists can explain why you have formation of callus or corns and can give you advice as to how to prevent them. If you are keen to prevent these painful conditions from reoccurring, an MSK Podiatry appointment would be appropriate. If you are keen to have them treated only then a general Podiatry appointment would suffice.
Will the physio give me exercises?
Both our physio and our MSK podiatrists can issue exercise programmes, as part of your overall treatment plan. Which clinician.
