White Horse Half Marathon
The White Horse Half Marathon is run on a level and attractive rural course through the country villages of the Vale of the White Horse. At Zest Podiatry & Physio we are proud and fortunate to be supporting and sponsoring a local marathon. Voted one of the top 10 races for PB potential on the Runners World website.
Type of course
The course is level, starting and finishing in Grove, near Wantage. It follow quiet country lanes through the villages of Denchworth, Lyford and Charney Bassett. Full details of the the location of the race HQ, parking etc. will be sent to entrants nearer race day. Click here for the map of the course, unchanged in years.

History of the White Horse Half Marathon
Sunday, 10th April 1983 was the first race was staged by White Horse Harriers AC as a fund raising event for the Richard Conduit Fund for Sick Children. Richard Conduit was a talented, local young athlete who died from a brain tumour when only fourteen. The fund was set up to help provide equipment for the Children’s Ward at the Radcliffe Infirmary.
